Basil and Tomato Sauce
Serves: 2 (as dinner)
Tomato Pulp | 1 ½ Cups |
Tomato Puree | 2 tbsp |
Basil (Chopped) | 12 to 15 leaves |
Basil (Unchopped) | 4 leaves |
Fresh Cream | 5 tbsp |
Onion (Finely Chopped) | 1 |
Garlic (Finely Chopped) | 2 Cloves |
Garlic Paste | 1 tbsp |
Chili powder | 1 tbsp |
Sugar | 1 tbsp |
Butter | 2 tbsp |
Parmesan Cheese, Grated | 4 tbsp |
Method
- Heat butter in a pan and saute the garlic and onion in it till onion turns translucent.
- Add the Tomato Pulp and cook till it thickens. (about 5 minutes)
- Add the Tomato Puree, Chili powder, sugar, salt & ½ cup water. Mix & bring to boil.
- Add the cream and Chopped Basil Leaves. Mix well.
- Add the Pastallio Pasta and mix.
- Garnish with Cheese and Unchopped basil leaves. Serve hot.
