Pesto Sauce & Gravy
Serves:
2 (as Dinner)
Pine nuts (chilgoza) or walnuts, chopped
¼ Cup
Fresh Basil Leaves
2 Cups
Parmesan Cheese (Optional)
¼ Cup
Garlic, chopped
1 tbsp
Garlic paste
1 tbsp
Olive Oil
2 tbsp
Fresh Cream
1 Cup
Milk
1 Cup
Salt
As per taste
Pasta
250g Fusilli
Method
Lightly roast the pine nuts. Cool completely.
Combine all the ingredients (except fresh cream and milk) in a blender and blend into a smooth paste. This is Pesto sauce.
Combine the Pesto sauce with milk and cream in a sauce pan. Mix well. Add salt as per taste.
Allow to simmer for 5 to 6 minutes while stirring continuously.
Mix the Pastallio Pasta and serve.
