Pesto Sauce & Gravy

Serves: 2 (as Dinner)
Pine nuts (chilgoza) or walnuts, chopped¼ Cup
Fresh Basil Leaves2 Cups
Parmesan Cheese (Optional)¼ Cup
Garlic, chopped1 tbsp
Garlic paste1 tbsp
Olive Oil2 tbsp
Fresh Cream1 Cup
Milk1 Cup
SaltAs per taste
Pasta250g Fusilli

Method

  • Lightly roast the pine nuts. Cool completely.
  • Combine all the ingredients (except fresh cream and milk) in a blender and blend into a smooth paste. This is Pesto sauce.
  • Combine the Pesto sauce with milk and cream in a sauce pan. Mix well. Add salt as per taste.
  • Allow to simmer for 5 to 6 minutes while stirring continuously.
  • Mix the Pastallio Pasta and serve.
